Cvijanović: Coordination mechanism applied selectively – SRNA

BiH Presidency Chairperson Željka Cvijanović said that the coordination mechanism established for BiH’s EU integration is applied selectively, which is not helpful if BiH wants to become an EU member.

She [said] that this coordination mechanism is necessary if Bosnia and Herzegovina gets candidate status.

“If we talk about what comes after that – it is the most demanding stage when the date is obtained and after that, you start the negotiations. When the negotiations start, you have to have unified positions on certain issues. In order to reach a unified position you have to know who is doing what and how these jobs are coordinated, who makes up the negotiating teams and does the enormous operational and political work,” explained Cvijanović.
