Republika Srpska (RS) President Željka Cvijanović, commenting on the 26th anniversary of the since the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords, said the RS is fighting to preserve and restore its constitutional competencies.
“After so many years, it would be logical that we nowadays talk about political understanding, better cohesion within BiH, internal dialogue and everything that should adorn a multiethnic community,” Cvijanović told reporters in Banjaluka.
Unfortunately, Cvijanović points out, Republika Srpska is now fighting to preserve constitutional competencies and prevent further disempowerment.
“Our vision of BiH is a vision of a stable state in which everyone can exercise their rights in accordance with the Constitution, in which no one bothers anyone, in which all important issues can and should be discussed,” Cvijanović said.
