The EU tried on Tuesday to reassure BiH about its readiness to admit it to the union, after an unofficial diplomatic note raised doubts about the EU’s commitment.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell told a joint news conference with BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija, “The EU reiterates its unequivocal commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EU perspective as a single, united and sovereign country and our commitment to remain firmly as its side.”
Tegeltija said he hoped the next parliamentary elections in Bosnia could be held under a new, reformed electoral system.
