Speakers of Western Balkans parliaments, including BiH’s House of Representatives Speaker Borjana Kristo and House of Peoples Speaker Bakir Izetbegovic, met in Brussels for the European Parliament’s second Western Balkans Speakers’ Summit, after which they adopted a joint declaration.
There they discussed the key role of parliaments in the EU enlargement process in a post-COVID-era with European Parliament President David Sassoli. They also met with members of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs.
