The president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, said Thursday that Christian Schmidt will probably avoid using the Bonn powers as High Representative.
The President of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH, Dragan Čović, reiterated his earlier position today when it comes to the institutions of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in BiH, which in this form he considers to be an obvious protectorate.
He says that if BiH has the ambition to gain a candidate status for membership in the European Union and open negotiations, then there should be no Peace Implementation Council (PIC) and High Representative.
