Dodik: Signatories to Dayton Annex 10 should give consent to election of new high representative – SRNA

BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik said that the high representative in BiH is an institution established by Annex 10 to the Dayton Accords and that Republika Srpska demands that the Dayton Accords and all its annexes, which were signed by Republika Srpska, must be consistently respected. He said that all signatories to Annex 10 should give their consent in the election of a new high representative, who is then appointed by the UN Security Council.

[Dodik] has added that Annex 10 to the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH defines all rights and obligations of the high representative and the Office of the High Representative (OHR).

“All other competences and actions high representatives undertook in the past, which exceed the bounds of Annex 10, constitute a gross violation of rights. The high representative was established by the Annex which is a treaty, and every conduct of the high representative that is not in keeping with it should be considered as a violation of the treaty,” Dodik said.
