EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi said he expects Albania and Macedonia to formally begin EU accession talks before the end of 2020 as he presented the EU’s annual progress reports at the European Parliament.
In the past few months Bosnia has seen some first positive developments in addressing its key reform priorities, the EU commissioner said.
The report marks as positives the breakthrough on holding elections in the town of Mostar, as well as the adoption of the national war crimes strategy.
