Bosnia Now Closer to Passing Long-Delayed Budget – BIRN

The BiH House of Representatives on Wednesday approved BiH’s long-delayed 2020 budget, including funds for local elections.

After the main Bosniak, Serb and Croat parties said they had smoothed over their disagreements over appointments to top positions in state institutions, the country is closer to adopting a budget worth some 1.8 billion Bosnian marka, or some 920 million euros.

It still has to be approved by parliament’s upper house – but that is largely seen as a formality
