The office of the President of Republika Sprska issued the following press release Tuesday.
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović presented 48 families of refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons in BiH with the keys to new apartments in Kuljani today.
The President of the Republic of Srpska assessed that the Regional Housing Programme is a good programme that shows the ability of different levels of government to cooperate in solving the housing problems of refugees and displaced persons.
“Today, by solving this problem, 48 families who could not solve the housing problem before were now permanently taken care of. These are families that are socially endangered and are sensitive category of society”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic reminded that many similar projects have been implemented since the war, some of them were implemented with the help of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of Srpska thanked the European Union, which is the largest donor in the programme, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees in the Council of Ministers, the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the City of Banja Luka.
