Almost three weeks after the IMF transferred 330 million euros to BiH to deal with the coronavirus crisis, the country’s politicians have still not agreed on how to distribute the funds.
The problem arose with the distribution of funds between the various levels of government in the country’s Bosniak- and Croat-dominated Federation entity.
Bosnian Croat political parties demanded it that cantons, the lower levels of government in the Federation, be included in the arrangement and that the letter of intent defines how much money goes to the cantons. Bosniak political parties did not want to agree to this.
