Republika Srpska President Željka Cvijanović on Friday sent a note to RS citizens on the occasion of May 9 – the Victory Day in the Second World War and the Day of Europe.
Cvijanović points out that the victory over fascism in the Second World War, when the ideology that took millions of human lives was broken, represents one of the greatest achievements of civilization in the entire history of mankind.
“We are proud that, as one of the winning nations, we have contributed to the collapse of fascism and the defense of those ideals and values whose achievements are deeply woven into our society, which inherits freedom, peace and tolerance,” the President stressed.
