In a joint press conference Friday, BiH Security Minister Fahrudin Radoncic and Republika Srpska Interior Minister Dragan Lukac said BiH must increase the capacities of its Border Police in order to respond to the wave of migrants and protect the border.
According to Lukac, RS police already closely cooperates with the Border Police and 100 of their officers are currently deployed at the state border.
Considering the migrant situation at the border between Turkey and Greece, Lukac said that “we are expecting an escalation of the situation here as well and must cooperate to respond to any possible problems.”
