RS President Željka Cvijanović and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Palmer met Wednesday in Washington and concluded that the “Mini Schengen” is positive initiative for the entire Western Balkans.
Cvijanović voiced the commitment of the Republika Srpska institutions to preserve peace and political stability in BiH and the region, as the most important preconditions for economic development, improvement of the business environment and living standards of all citizens.
The president of Srpska stressed that the Dayton Peace Agreement and respect for the constitutional structure of BiH, which implies full equality of the three constituent peoples, was a good framework for the functioning, development and progress of BiH.
BiH’s ambassador to the United States, Bojan Vujić, also attended the meeting.
