RS President Željka Cvijanović met Wednesday with the newly appointed Swedish Ambassador to BiH Johanna Strömquist and discussed the current political and economic situation in the RS and BiH, the process of the EU integration and the challenges BiH faces on its European path.
[Cvijanović] highlighted that the main problem was that, even after thirteen months since the elections, a new convocation of the Council of Ministers, as well as the government at the level of the Federation of BiH, had not been formed and added that the implementation of electoral and democratic will of the citizens cannot be the subject to political conditioning.
The Republic of Srpska President stressed that blocking the government formation process has hindered the progress of BiH on the European path, and at the same time halted numerous reform and development processes on which institutional and political stability depend as well as the living standard of the citizens of both entities.
