EU Special Representative to BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark said he believes the main reason for BiH’s slow progress toward the EU is the failure to form authorities at the BiH level, in the Federation, and in some cantons. He told the press in Banja Luka, “It is very difficult to move from opinions to actual work without the authorities being formed.” Wigemark emphasized, “We believe that citizens in BiH are interested in hearing more about economic opportunities, jobs, education, health, security, and generally speaking more about a better future, not about topics dominated by political discourse.”
