In an op-ed published by the EU Delegation to BiH, Genoveva Ruiz Calavera, the Director for the Western Balkans in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, calls for reforms to improve BiH citizens’ confidence in the judicial system. Ruiz Calavera emphasizes that citizens need a well-functioning and strong judiciary and “also legal certainty, meaning that they must know precisely which conduct is subject to liability and which judicial institution is competent to process a case.”
