At a ceremony marking two years of the Stabilization and Association Agreement between BiH and the EU, EU Special Representative Lars Gunnar Wigemark said the SAA is having positive effects on the BiH economy.
Speaking about the benefits of the SAA, Wigemark said that it brought the trade liberalization, and added that the EU is the biggest trading partner of BiH, since about 70 percent of exports from BiH applies to exports to EU member states.
“Data from the BiH Agency of Statistics show 12.5 per cent increase in exports in the first four months of this year compared with last year. In March, exports were increased by 22 percent, while the value of exported goods amounted to one billion BAM (half of billion of Euro)”, Wigemark said.
