A ceremony Sunday marked the 25th anniversary of a massacre of 56 Serb civilians in Gornja Josanica, including women, children, and the elderly. There have been no indictments arising out of the massacre.
Dusanka Lalovic, a witness to the crime, says that eyewitnesses first gave statements to the prosecutor’s office in Trebinje and then to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, which took over the case.
“There is no justice. We are hurt, sad and angry with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. I don’t know what to say,” says Lalovic, who managed to escape the massacre by pure chance.
Marijan Kulic says that Josanica residents are not angry with Bosniaks, but with criminals, who killed their loved ones, and with the judiciary.
“We are angry the most with the judiciary. Should we all die and not see justice for innocent children who were heinously killed?” Kulic has asked.
