President Dodik welcomed a delegation from the Chinese Communist Party to Banja Luka over the weekend, following Mr. Dodik’s own recent visit to China. Following the meeting, Dodik announced that the RS is considering establishing “specialized economic zones” to foster foreign investment in Republika Srpska, and that the RS would seek China’s assistance.
Following a meeting with the Chinese delegation headed by Li Yun, the CPC deputy international secretary, Dodik pointed out that this was the first in a series of meetings aimed at intensifying the cooperation.
“This was a friendly meeting. Later on, our collaboration will be more visible and better developed. The Communist Party of China has a leading and managing role in China. Without its support, very few of the agreed projects may be realised,” Dodik told reporters after the gathering.
