Bozo Ljubic, the head of the HNS BiH, a Croat political party, marked the 23rd anniversary of the founding of the wartime Croatian Republic of Herceg Bosna this week with statements to Croatian media. Mr. Ljubic remarked that the wartime polity “lives on” not simply as a concept, but “as a legal and political fact.”
“Finally, Herceg Bosna lives on today in many laws and public enterprises. Furthermore, all HRHB laws even today are in force in all those fields not regulated at the state level. This includes, among others, the law on state holidays, on the basis of which we are observing this anniversary today,” said Ljubic.
