Speaking to press on Thursday, Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik said that the BiH Statistical Agency’s decision to finalize and publish census data without the consent of the entities was “unacceptable,” and that RS could not accept the BiH agency’s methodology for handling the census data. According to Mr. Dodik, accepting or endorsing the agency’s unilateral decision is a “red line which Srpska cannot cross.” The statements came during a press conference following President Dodik’s meeting with the Serb member of the BiH presidency, Mladen Ivanic. The two political leaders, usually at odds, have voiced similar sentiments concerning the census.
