A delegation representing Saudi Arabia’s king met with BiH officials to discuss investment opportunities, political ties, and new trade deals. In recent years the trading relationship between Saudi Arabia and BiH has grown, especially in the arms sector; BiH sold €18.96 million worth of arms and ammunition to the Kingdom in 2015.
On Tuesday, Al-Bassam and the Bosnian Minister of Finance, Vjekoslav Bevanda, agreed a memorandum of understanding by which the Saudi Fund for Development will donate 22 million US dollars towards construction of a new library for the University of Sarajevo….
Under the agreement, the Saudi Fund for Development will also loan 6 million dollars to the eastern town of Gorazde, which will be used to rebuild part of the water supply network and modernise infrastructure.
