Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik spoke at the opening of an economic forum in Jahorina on Wednesday, welcoming an audience of roughly 300 economists, business leaders, and representatives of foreign governments. The conference was convened to discuss the economic prospects of RS, BiH, and the Balkan region, and to attract new investment in RS.
Executive Director of the Republika Srpska Association of Economists SWOT, Sasa Grabovac, has welcomed the participants and guests and thanked them for recognising the importance of economy for the development of society.
“Our desire was to bring together local and foreign expert public and decision makers in one place, with the aim of creating conditions for future development,” said the director of the SWOT Association, which is the organiser of the gathering.
The Forum has begun at the Termag Hotel with the discussion at the plenary session “Multipolar World and Economy – Position of the Western Balkans Countries” in which the economists and politicians, including Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, a Croat Member of the BiH Presidency, Dragan Covic, Russian Ambassador to BiH, Petr Ivantsov and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU special representative in BiH, Lars Gunnar Wigemark, are discussing the position, location and new requirements ahead the economies of the region and politicians.
