Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik told press that all conditions had been met for a decision concerning the holding of an entity referendum on the BiH-level judiciary to be published in the official gazette. He did not set a date for such publication, but said it would happen “when the time comes.” President Dodik indicated that he still hopes to successfully “explain” RS grievances to the international community and other stakeholders, but that the RS is ready to go ahead with the referendum if that fails.
“We are deciding only that the court cannot work outside the Constitution and the Dayton peace agreement. We are not against the Court and the Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina dealing with issues that Bosnia-Herzegovina has jurisdiction in, and not those from the jurisdiction of the entities,” he said.
President Dodik also noted that Russia has publicly supported the referendum.
