Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic met Saturday in Banja Luka with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović. After her meetings, she emphasized that she would advocate for BiH’s European and Euro-Atlantic path and for the equality of BiH’s peoples.
She stressed that she in fact envisions BiH as a NATO and EU member state and as soon as possible, which is a condition “for lasting peace, security, and the survival of all peoples in the region.”
“I especially also advocate for the equality of all three peoples across BiH and this year I see an opportunity to mark the 20th anniversary of Dayton, to continue with institutional upgrading in order to really ensure the equality of all peoples. Of course as the Croatian president I am especially concerned with the position of the Croat people in BiH and their survival, their existence and remaining in these spaces, for which there should be many prerequisites.[“]
