President of HDZ BiH and member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Covic told press that he would meet with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik tomorrow. The most important subject discussed will likely be the RS’ planned referendum on the High Representative and the BiH Court. Mr. Covic said that he supports Mr. Dodik’s effort to reform Court.
“I personally think that there will be no referendum in Srpska, but I believe that controversial issues connected with the work of the Court and Prosecutor, on which Dodik and others in RS insist, really should be resolved. We need an independent judiciary, established in accordance with the highest European standards,” stressed Covic, who is currently chairing the BiH Presidency.
He stressed that “BiH is not a legal state,” but that this is a problem and a task for all relevant institutions.
According to him, it can never again be permitted that in BiH there are rigged political processes.
