Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik told press he would not step down or cancel a planned referendum in response to threats of sanctions from some in the international community.
“I am ready to sacrifice myself for Srpska. I will never stop fighting against international injustice in BiH regardless of whether I am the Republika Srpska President or not,” Dodik said commenting on increasingly open threats directed at him by certain IC representatives in BiH because of the decision of the Republika Srpska Parliament to call a referendum….
“I am not afraid of dismissal or sanctions! Only the people of Srpska, who elected me to the office of the president, can dismiss me. Sarajevo now requires the High Representative to BiH, Valentin Inzko, to dismiss me because of the decision on a referendum,” Dodik said.
President Dodik has said that he is open to negotiations to resolve problems with the BiH judiciary, but that failing such a solution, the referendum will go ahead as planned.
