The RS National Assembly’s Security Committee adopted a conclusion today calling urgently for an investigation into the attack on and attempted murder of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who was mobbed by a hostile crowd while attending commemorations at Srebrenica.
Committee Chairman Milanko Mihajlica has said it is necessary to establish who is responsible for organising the attempted killing of Vucic, and who made omissions in the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Agencies of BiH and other competent agencies.
He recalled that regardless of the Serbian prime minister’s office’s requests, the Srpska Interior Ministry was not allowed to provide security services to Vucic.
“The Directorate for the Coordination of Police Agencies, which took on the duty to provide security to the Serbian prime minister, made a series of omissions threatening the safety of the protected persons,” said Mihajlica, adding that this meant that the directorate managers were responsible.
