Republika Srpska Minister of Justice Anton Kasipovic told press on Friday that he could not participate in a session of the EU-sponsored Structured Dialogue on Justice that had been scheduled for Monday, because no final agenda had been presented ahead of time. Minister Kasipovic called instead for a meeting between the EU representatives, himself, the Federation, BiH, and Brcko District ministers of justice, to discuss plans for the future of the Dialogue.
The Srpska Government remains committed to the Structured Dialogue on Justice according to the set rules, he said….
It is necessary to outline the agenda and take a serious approach to the new session of the Structured Dialogue on Justice in BIH, said the minister.
“The Structured Dialogue should be led by those who have been put in charge by the European Commission and the ministers of justice, and if necessary, representatives of other institutions. I think that the reason for the modest result of the dialogue is based on the fact that it included a huge number of participants and topics that are not the subject of the main purpose of this dialogue,” he said.
In response, European Commissioner Jean-Eric Paquet met with the assembled justice ministers today in Sarajevo to discuss next steps.
