Representatives of Serb victims of war crimes criticized the BiH Court for sentencing Indira Kameric, a former member of the Croatian Defense Council, to only three years in prison for her involvement in the imprisonment, torture, and rape of Serb and Bosniak prisoners in Brod in 1992.
The representative of the Posavina region in the Republika Srpska Alliance of Former Prison Camp Detainees, Vlado Dragojlovic, said that the verdict handed down to Kameric again proved that the Serbian victims are inferior and second-class citizens.
“The verdict should have shown that we have a good will, that we believe each other and that we are all equal before the law. Unfortunately, it called into question everything we are doing in an effort to arrive at a normal life in these parts by way of the truth,” Dragojlovic told reporters.
He said that the verdict is shameful and humiliating for the victims and very bad for creating a general atmosphere of reconciliation between the peoples.
