The presidency of the Democratic Front party met on Friday to discuss the outstanding issues surrounding the formation of the Federation government and the BiH Council of Ministers. The party concluded that the two bodies should be announced at the same time. The party also supported the decision of Milan Mandilovic, whose appointment to the FBiH government would have upset the ethnic balance there, to re-declare himself an ethnic “other.”
“Dr. Milan Mandilovic has decided to declare himself as an Other, which means that the DF in the FBiH government will not have three Serb places,” said Komsic.
The final conclusion of the DF Presidency is that they require the FBiH government and the Council of Ministers must be appointed on the same day and at the same time, otherwise the DF would not vote for the FBiH government.“Such a condition some negotiators have held from the beginning, and now this is our only condition,” said Komsic, adding that he heard today from Bakir Izetbegovic, vice president of the SDA, but not from Dragan Covic.
