The leaders of the SDA and Democratic Front met with the SDP leadership yesterday to discuss the election of leaders in the entity’s House of Peoples, as well as the president and vice presidents of the Federation. The House of Peoples has been unable to conclude those appointments thus far, due in part to the fact that the Serb caucus within the house has not appointed all of its members. The DF and SDA are seeking help from the SDP in order to avoid the need to negotiate further with Serb parties.
“It would be good for the Social Democratic Party to be part of resolving the situation. It can resolve itself in another way, but that would be already a political trade and I do not want to participate in that,” said Zeljko Komsic, the DF leader, just before the trilateral meeting in Sarajevo this afternoon.
