The government of Serbia has issued a statement concerning a meeting last week between Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic and Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik. According to the statement, Dodik and Vucic criticized last week’s resolution of the European Parliament, in which MEPs “strongly condemned” statements made by Serbian Radical Party president Vojislav Seselj. Seselj is currently on trial by the ICTY, but is in Serbia, having been temporarily released from custody for health reasons.
President Dodik and PM Vucic said that the EP resolution “in no way contributes to advancing cooperation among the countries and peoples of the Western Balkans.”
