The head of the HDZ BiH party, Dragan Covic, told reporters that there is no longer “even a theoretical chance” that an agreement on new election laws for Mostar will be reached in time for the city to participate in nation-wide elections in October.
“If we were to agree today, I still think this would not be realistic. It isn’t realistic to expect that we combine the general elections with the local for Mostar. After holding general elections, we must dedicate ourselves to Mostar,” said Covic.
