Speaking at the International Business Forum in Sarajevo yesterday, deputy chief of the EU delegation to BiH Dr Renzo Daviddi urged local leaders and focus on basic principles of economic growth. This event follows the EU’s recent Forum on Jobs and Prosperity, also held in Sarajevo.
Dr Daviddi noted that the consensus of the Forum participants was that high unemployment rates, especially among youth, low rates of investment and growth, a complicated and non-transparent business climate, and a low level of social support for the less-well-off in society are the key issues to be addressed by a coherent and comprehensive reform agenda.
Mr. Daviddi elaborated on these issues in an interview with Start Magazine late last week.
