The BiH Prosecutor’s Office told press that an indictment had been issued for Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigative and Protection Agency (SIPA). Director Zubac is charged with “failure to react properly and send special police forces” to deal with the mass protests in February that resulted in the destruction of government buildings.
While the Prosecutor’s Office has yet to publicly make its case, the indictment appears to be the latest development in the long-running feud between the two agencies’ directors. SIPA’s 2013 arrest of SDA MP Semsudin Mehmedovic sparked a very public disagreement between SIPA and Chief Prosecutor Salihovic.
