The steering board of the multi-lateral Peace Implementation Council has issued a communique following its semi-annual meeting earlier this week. In the statement the board praises the European Union’s new economy-first approach to BiH, and urges BiH politicians to “reach out” to citizens who have become engaged in political affairs though this year’s protests. The communique goes on to reiterate concerns expressed in previous statements by the PIC, and to stress the PIC’s support for the High Representative and his actions.
Russia, which has a seat on the steering board, declined to endorse the communique.
