Pavel Zavalny, head of the Russian Gas Society, warned this week that both BiH and Bulgaria risk losing access to Russian gas if Russia decides to cut its supplies to Ukraine. Bulgaria and BiH are the only European states without connections to an alternate gas pipeline. Gazprom is considering cutting off its pipeline to Ukraine, due to the political dispute between Ukraine and Russia.
