Speaking to press on Monday, Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik said that the RS was “adamant” in defending and upholding the letter of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and in adhering to the Constitution of BiH.
“We are adamant in building Republika Srpska within the competencies stipulated in the BiH Constitution and the Dayton Agreement. We do not accept any transfer of powers to the BiH level which would be to the detriment of Srpska, and we want to show that the competencies seized earlier must be restored to us,” Dodik told reporters.
Mr. Dodik said that any extra-constitutional transfers of competencies away from the entities would be to the detriment of BiH as well as to RS.
