Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the victims of the 1992 Dobrovoljacka Street ambush, Republika Srpska prime minister Zeljka Cvijanovic exhorted citizens to remember the attack, saying that it is “important to preserve the institutional, national and individual memory of the grave crime that was committed in that place in Sarajevo.”
PM Cvijanovic also spoke out against the BiH judiciary, which many in the RS feel exhibits a bias against Serbs.
“This street bears several symbolisms, and they are all very sad. One is that this is a grave of unity in which we used to live in the former state, but this is also a grave of the BiH judiciary which did not have the strength to prosecute this case and to punish the perpetrators,” Cvijanovic said.
