Speaking to press on Tuesday, Republika Srpska prime minister Zeljka Cvijanovic said that there is “no room” for intervention from the High Representative regarding the RS government’s decision on Residence. The RS government has instructed authorities to implement new measures to ensure that citizens accurately report their legal places of residence. Prime Minister Cvijanovic told press that these measures would remain in effect until BiH lawmakers “wake up” and pass a comprehensive law on residence. Bosniak politicians have previously called for the High Representative to punish the RS for acting unilaterally.
