Serbia’s deputy prime minister and likely future prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic, told reporters yesterday that he plans to make Sarajevo the first foreign city he visits when he becomes prime minister.
“I have not been in Sarajevo a year and a half and I think that this visit is very important for regional stability, Serbia-BiH relations, relations of true friendship and partnership that we need to build. In the same time, of course, we respect the Dayton Agreement, we love Republika Srpska, but also have a lot of respect for the integrity of BiH and its peoples. It is very important for us that peoples of BiH are reaching agreements, but it is also important for us that citizens in BiH live well, as well as to have excellent economic cooperation and to improve that economic cooperation, if possible” said Vucic.
Mr. Vucic also said that he hopes the governments of Serbia and BiH can hold a joint session in the near future.
