After a full month of protests, demonstrators continue to flock to the streets of cities across the Federation, though in decreasing numbers. On Friday, police in Sarajevo responded in force to try to prevent marching protesters from blocking roadways. Despite the police presence, protesters succeeded in marching to the United States embassy in Sarajevo, where they spoke with a representative of USAID.
The protests, which have resulted in the resignations of the leaders of four cantons, have received official encouragement from the United States, the European Union, and the Office of the High Representative.
