During a visit to the exhumation site in the Buca Potok neighborhood of Sarajevo, EU Special Representative Peter Sorensen stressed the importance of continuing the exhumation despite a number of delays and obstacles.
The exhumation of the remains of the Serbs from Sarajevo at the landfill in Buca Potok began on July 22, but was suspended as the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, which has issued the exhumation order, failed to pay the contractors on time.
The visit to the site, which included a group of other foreign diplomats in addition to Mr. Sorensen, was organized by the International Commission on Missing Persons.
