After a meeting with BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Bevanda, Federation Prime Minister Niksic, and EU Special Representative Sorensen, RS Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic told reporters that a “high level of agreement” had been reached concerning the establishment of a mechanism for cooperation between BiH and entity governments on EU pre-accession issues. The formation of such a coordination mechanism has been a long-standing obstacle to progress in BiH.
“This is the first time this has happened with regard to the coordination mechanism. Basically, we managed to eliminate certain dilemmas here because it is obvious that perhaps we couldn’t understand each other very well in the past despite the fact that we have been working on these issues for a year or so,” Cvijanović told reporters.
