High Representative Valentin Inzko concluded a two-day visit to Banja Luka today after meeting with RS president Milorad Dodik. HR Inzko told reporters that President Dodik criticized OHR’s actions “from the past,” and that Inzko himself has been restrained in exercising the so-called Bonn powers, which RS officials object to. Responding to President Dodik’s insistence that the OHR should be closed as soon as possible, Mr. Inzko said that the decision to close the OHR was up to the Peace Implementation Council, not him.
Mr. Inzko also had productive talks with RS National Assembly President Igor Radojicic on the subject of implementing the Sejdic-Finci decision.
