Vijesti and other news outlets in BiH report that Jakob Finci, one of the two plaintiffs in the Sejdić and Finci case in the European Court of Human Rights, praised RS President Milorad Dodik’s proposal that there be one member of the BiH presidency from the RS, two from the Federation, and no ethnic qualifications. The Sejdić and Finci judgment held that the ethnic qualifications for election to the BiH Presidency and House of Peoples violate the European Convention on Human Rights. Mr. Finci said that he and Dervo Sejdić, his co-plaintiff, believe that President Dodik’s proposal is the “most correct and most concrete.”
