After complaints earlier this week by Serb politicians who said that protesters at the BiH parliament in Sarajevo were threatening Serbs, the Croat-majority HDZ parties have expressed their own concerns over security in the capital. Chairman of the Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda, a member of HDZ, “said on Tuesday that he will not schedule sessions of the council of ministers, the state-level government, until further notice, while his party colleagues will not participate in the work of other state-level institutions in the capital.”
The HDZ and Bevanda said that they didn’t have adequate security to work in Sarajevo due to the protests which have been continuing for a week and have turned into what they described as “a violent long-lasting hostage crisis”.
