The BiH Prosecutor’s office has stated that it would like to hold Federation President Zivko Budimir–and four other officials implicated in the same bribery cases–in custody for an additional to months. Mr. Budimir was arrested in late April on suspicion of taking bribes in return for pardons.
Meanwhile, the Federation parliament has convened a special commission to determine whether President Budimir can carry out the functions of his office while incarcerated, and how the government can carry on in his absence. Today two members of that commission walked out after being out-voted.
