Member of the BiH Presidency Zeljko Komsic, gave a television interview in which he said that a resolution of the military property issue–and subsequent qualification for NATO membership–was possible, and might even happen soon. He also said that NATO membership was more attainable and more important than EU membership at present.

The account of the interview published by Dnevni Avaz focused extensively on Mr. Komsic’s comments in praise of BiH Minister of Security, and Dnevni Avaz‘s owner, Fahrudin Radoncic. According to Komsic as quoted by the paper, Minister Radoncic is one of the only members of the government who does not act out of self-interest.

Mr. Komsic also criticized his fellow BiH politicians for “sticking their heads in the sand” and relying on foreign powers for solutions.
